Good Spirit Choir

This choir consists of young people between the ages of 7 and 12 (although older participants would be warmly welcomed!) They sing once every month in worship services (sometimes more) as well as lead us in our annual Christmas pageant and other festivities. Most often they sing in our 9:00 am family worship service, and their weekly rehearsals take place on Sunday mornings, (10:45 am - 11 :30 am), from September through May.

Karen Nelson is the choir director, and she can be reached at 399-6826. Specific schedule details can be found in the monthly newsletter.

All-Ages Choir

This choir is a “family" choir - particularly accessible for both young and “old" alike. They sing at our worship services at least twice a month. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 - 7:30 - a time chosen especially for making it possible for children to participate. We suggest you come and JJsample" a rehearsal - it's lots of fun.

Joel Spineti is the director of this choir and he can be reached at 434-8479. Specific details about their schedule can be found in the monthly newsletter.

Senior Choir

This choir sings each week in worship services - alternating between the 9:00 and 11 :00 services. Their repertoire is chosen mostly from the classics of sacred choral music, along with a sampling of the work of current composers. Usually their music is in 4-parts, and frequently is sung accapella. Rehearsal are held on Wednesday nights, from 7:30-9:09 (September - May). Because the group has a certain strength in numbers, anyone who likes to sing is encouraged to come and try a rehearsal - at anytime!

Carleen Gerber is the director and can be reached at the church office at 434-8686.

Other musical opportunities

Occasionally there is a men's chorus which forms for a special worship event. With one advance rehearsal, usually held on a Wednesday night, the men sing at both worship services on one Sunday morning. A "quick-start" choir for sure and a wonderful way for the men in the congregation to try their singing voices. Watch the newsletter for postings.

Musical Masterworks

MM is an entirely separate non-profit organization for which this church is host-home. They sponsor five concerts each year that are held in the Meetinghouse on both Saturday evenings at 5:00 and Sunday afternoons at 3:00. (Each concert is presented twice in the same weekend.) The schedule is set in the summertime for the upcoming "academic year". Information about performances and tickets can be obtained by calling Musical Masterworks at 434-2252 or 767-0624.

The church office does not have access to tickets to sell for these events. But do call these listed numbers in advance since seating is limited.

Special Concerts

Special Concerts are occasionally sponsored by the church.   Information about any special concert should appear in the local newspapers and will be posted in the “Calendar” section of our website, either in the “Newsletter”, “Bulletin” or “Special Calendar Alerts” pages.

Poetry Readings and Dramatic Events

These are periodically part of our arts program. Specific information can be found on our website on the pages listed above.

Art Shows

These have sometimes been a part of our adult forum activities or special events. Specific information, should such an event be pending, would be found on the website also on the pages listed above.
