BOARD OF MISSIONS

Organization

This Board is comprised of ten members, one of whom shall be a Deacon appointed annually by the Board of Deacons.

After serving a term of three years, members are ineligible for one year to be re-elected to the Board of Missions.

The members are elected for a term of three years in such manner that the term of three members shall terminate each year.

The Board annually elects by simple majority vote a  Chairperson from among its members.

Responsibilities

The Board of Missions duties shall be to distribute the available Church funds to worthy, charitable purposes such as aiding the sick and the aged and to needy Christian missions.

If Church funds are not available for special cases, it may bring worthy causes to the attention of the congregation to enlist its participation in them.

Partnership Committees

From time to time, as the need occurs, the Board of Missions may recommend to the Church Council the establishment of a Partnership Committee to plan and manage specific partnership activities.  (See the PARTNERSHIPS link on the home page).
